Spring Workshop day

Over 100 visitors joined us from local communities and beyond on 10 April to take part in a variety of hands on heritage workshops and enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch. The weather was perfectly Spring-like to match the event. We also met the Head of Youth Services from The Baytree Centre in Brixton, who came to find out more about us. Hopefully the start of a productive link with this urban project which works with young women and girls 'changing aspirations into realities'.

Here is some of the feedback from participants:

‘inspiring, educational, entertaining’

‘well considered activities’

‘amazing food’

‘we’ll be back for the next workshop’

The Green Wood Workshop courses

Coppicing and woodland conservation supply the raw materials for our Green Wood Workshop courses – a completely sustainable system of wood working. Make a chair - weave a basket - learn how to pleach, stake and bind a hedge.  You can learn the joy of working with rather than against the wood.
